The May meeting for Sumner County ARES was held on May 08, 2025 after the Sumner County Amateur Radio Association club meeting at the Sumner County EOC in Gallatin. The main topic of the meeting was the After Action Report of the Pedal for Paws event that took place the prior weekend.
The ECs discussed what went wrong, whot could have been done better or different and what went right.
One thing that came out of the AAR was that better mobile comms was needed in a self contained unit that would not draw power from a private vehicle, a SAG unit in this instance. A prototype unit was brought to the meeting and discussed. Future development is planned.
